“What was very shocking was that while we were all in the room discussing and listening to people impacted by what’s happening in Gaza, we’re not certain that that message will get across to the people at the top of the party,” Khader added. “You look at the themes of the party’s convention – today, tomorrow, Wednesday, and Thursday – there’s nowhere where Palestinians are included in that narrative.”

While the platform condemned former President Donald Trump for refusing to “endorse the political aspirations of the Palestinian people,” it made no divergence from the status quo policy of vetoing UN Security Council resolutions this year that moved towards Palestinian statehood.

While the platform boasts of being opposed to settler violence, it makes no acknowledgment of the International Court of Justice finding the Israeli government’s occupation and illegal expansions of settlements constitute apartheid.

And to that end, while the platform condemns UN efforts that apparently “single out” Israel, and the Boycott, Divest, and Sanctions movement for the same – apparently ignoring the historical precedent of Americans also boycotting and pushing divestment against fossil fuel companies and apartheid South Africa.

Wow what a beautiful speech. AOC even mentions Kamala “working tirelessly to bring a ceasefire to Gaza”…

Right after the Biden admin approved $24 Billion in arms shipments to israel.

Can you timestamp the moment in that video where they bring up putting an arms embargo on israel? Lip service just doesn’t hit the same after 10 months of Genocide.

Democrats don’t move me because I don’t believe a goddamn thing they say anymore. Those genociders are no better than Republicans; in fact, they’re worse! At least the Republican will look me in the eye as he slips the Long Knife between my ribs.

Dems are there to win an election. Not to pledge support or advocate for group of foreigners whom the majority of the country they are running for reelection in do not support.

You didn’t see the same expectations for Palestinian support during the Republican convention because no one on the right gives a shit about them.

Stupid leftists. They need to understand how unpopular the Jews are in this country. We aren’t going to beat Hitler by catering to them!

I for one support a gradual sane end to slavery. In 100 years or so. Once we convince the slave owners that they’re wrong (but never ever saying so in public)

Just curious why your entire account is countless articles criticizing democrats for their Palestine stance while applying absolutely no scrutiny to republicans, despite republicans being infinitely more hardline pro-Israel?

I think it’s pretty much a given that someone who criticizes the DNC stance on Palestine is also opposed to the GOP stance. Why do they need to list out all the other horrific people when they make a critique? You’re engaging in whataboutism here.

If someone critiques the GOP for being blatantly racist, do you similarly ask them why they aren’t mentioning the KKK directly? No, it’s fucking assumed. Stop being a jackass.

This guy only posts articles calling out democrats, and does not mention republicans at all. So it’s definitely not implied that he supports one over the other. Especially when this specific line is the most popular wedge issue for conservative-aligned interests, despite once again democrats being substantially more progressive on this issue.

And whataboutism? The GOP is one of two parties in a two party system, with the other being democrats. So yes it’s natural that if you mention one party’s stance you would then also mention the other.

Also just lol at immediately responding with name calling. Btw can you name a single Republican that’s advocated for Palestine? Because I see a lot of Ds, but not a single R.

Isn’t the democrat party supposedly the one that can be “pulled left”? Honestly ignorant take. Unless, of course, the Demons are just as entrenched as the known-fascist Republicans; in which case, there’s no material difference between the parties, just in how they phrase their policy

Because the Democrats are in power right now and are the ones responsible for the Genocide still going on. Not the Republicans.

Republicans occasionally get some posts as well. Interestingly when I post about them nobody shows up. And then they keep claiming what you’re saying right now.

            This is you:

Because the Democrats are in power right now and are the ones responsible for the Genocide still going on. Not the Republicans.

Democrats control the Whitehouse and the Senate, so, like 1.5 branches of government, and you’re telling someone else this? Ballsy. Not to bright, but ballsy.

Sounds good. Btw can you name a single Republican who supports Palestine? I can only seem to find Democrats. Just want to know when you help the Republicans win :)
