Because that 4.5% of the population is deserving of the same human rights as anyone else, and when they are denied those rights, they are more susceptible to abuse and suicide.

Removed, civility.
It’s actually lower than 10%. I had always commonly heard 10% and was shocked to learn that it’s more like 4.5%.

Removed, civility, ableist slur.
I went through their history, it was all self promotion, either to their website or their instagram.
All removed and banned.
He CAN win Michigan, he won’t at this rate, but he still CAN. He just has to make a lot of changes that a) he doesn’t feel are necessary and b) isn’t wiling to do.
Like admit the economy sucks for a lot of Americans.
I got polled yesterday and was asked to write a winning line for Biden:
“In 2020, under President Trump, you didn’t know where your next roll of toilet paper was coming from! People were scalping it out of the backs of their cars in grocery store parking lots! You want to go back to that?”
While Havana Syndrome is real, to my knowledge it’s not that refined. It should have impacted everyone in the room, Trump and the moderators included.
The known reports of the syndrome occupied entire floors of buildings. The idea that someone could use it and just target one guy is a little out there.
No, nobody cares about green jobs.
It’s too soon for polling to reflect anything, re-check in 1-2 weeks.
As of right now:
Michigan - Trump +4
https://projects.fivethirtyeight.com/polls/president-general/2024/michigan/
Pennsylvania - Trump +4
https://projects.fivethirtyeight.com/polls/president-general/2024/pennsylvania/
Wisconsin - Tied, Biden +2, Trump +2-3 Tossup
https://projects.fivethirtyeight.com/polls/president-general/2024/wisconsin/
Georgia - Trump +5 to +10
https://projects.fivethirtyeight.com/polls/president-general/2024/georgia/
Arizona - Trump +6 to +10
https://projects.fivethirtyeight.com/polls/president-general/2024/arizona/
Nevada - Trump +3
https://projects.fivethirtyeight.com/polls/nevada/
New Mexico - Biden +1 to +2

North Carolina - Trump +3 to +8

Minnesota - Biden +2 to Trump +1 Tossup

So, really, bad news for Biden across the board except for New Mexico which is just freshly getting polling data.
Oh, I never meant to bring Trump into it, just that Obama continued Bush’s drone program and in a perfect world it would have all been illegal… but not if the President does it. ;)
That’s the thing though, with the Republicans in charge there will NEVER be a vote on this. They won’t allow it.
She’s just grandstanding.
Impeachment starts in the House of Representatives, which is controlled by Republicans.
It goes to the Senate for conviction and removal, which, thanks to the Republican minority, requires a 60 vote majority to move anything forward.
This is why I’ve been saying since the Trump impeachments, we have to control the House and the Senate first, then we can talk impeachment.
House - 219 Republicans, 213 Democrats, 3 vacancies.
https://pressgallery.house.gov/member-data/party-breakdown
*Rep. Ken Buck (R-CO) resigned effective 3/22/2024.
*Rep. Donald Payne Jr. (D-NJ) died 4/24/2024.
*Rep. Mike Gallagher (R-WI) resigned effective 4/25/2024.
Senate - 49 Republicans, 47 Democrats, 4 Independents that caucus with Democrats.

Joe Manchin III (WV)
Kyrsten Sinema (AZ)
Angus S. King, Jr. (ME)
Bernard Sanders (VT)
It protects any official action.
So, for example, the notorious drone strikes that Obama ordered which killed a bunch of innocent people.
As commander in chief, that’s an official act, he would have immunity.
Bush and Abu Ghraib torture? Same.
Other folks are just as active, I’m just more public about it for transparency reasons.
Well that’s true! :)
That’s the thing, for the executive branch, passing laws is not an official act. It’s outside that branch of government. That’s what the Legislative branch does.
It would be like Biden overturning a court ruling. That’s the Judicial branch, not your dance.
The work done on it has been fascinating. You’d think if it were simple hysteria there would be outbreaks among the civilian population, but it’s always government employees.
