I really hated Rogue Trader at first. Skills in Pathfinder just seemed to have more visual impact, whereas RT was just stat and percentage changes. And it was hard not to exploit some of those skills. “Pogo-stick of Death” was 24 hits in one round.
But I absolutely love the WH40k novels, and it definitely played like one of the books. Owlcat doesn’t always land perfect game play, but they do know the material they work with and tell some good stories.
The AI cards prioritize compute density instead of frame rate, etc so you can’t directly compare price points between them like that without including that data. You could cluster gaming cards, though, using NVLink or the AMD Fabric thing. You aren’t going to get any where near the same performance, and you are really going to rely on quantization to make it work, but depending on your use case in self-hosting you probably don’t need a $30,000 card.

Maybe something like Comparison, but you have to understand everything can be changed. So, Just because you have KDE, doesn’t mean you have to stick with Dolphin for files management, etc. Window managers are even more free form. You don’t get a file manager, or image viewer, or text editor. You get a window manager. You can use whatever you want to install though. You also have floating vs tiled windows.
You might just look through screenshots in Google Images and see what looks good to you and then install that.
That’s a fair point. Others could be installed via pacman or apt, but if the user is wanting out of the box, then that’s true. I think 6.8 does support 9070xt, but the safest and probably simplest opinion is Bazzite like you said.
Wayland support differs between their display managers (GDM and SDDM). Outside of that and a few other low levels things that you probably wouldn’t care about, it is mostly just flavoring.
And understand that its not a choice just between those two DEs. There are many others that you can use (ex. mate, cinnamon, etc), and even just window managers (ex. i3wm, hyprland, openbox, etc) you can mix and match with many other file managers,etc.

The acceptance of medical care is not an equivalent situation to using free software in terms of ideological concerns. That’s conflating a social media platform with being as necessary as medical treatment. Even the roofing situation wouldn’t fit as the work is complete and they can’t exactly undone that work without destroying part of your existing house now and they certainly aren’t based on optional donation are they? I mean I assume you contracted to have them do that work, right? So that wouldn’t be a valid comparison to make either. Is Lemmy equally as important as blood poisoning or having a home to you?
The other glaring issue you didn’t consider is agent vs. artifact. In neither case is the actual person performing the service (roofer or doctor) the one being criticized for holding the tankie views. In a round about way, that does fix the problem you have, though. Just randomly changing things or installing/uninstalling packages until the whole OS is borked and you have to reinstall thereby clearing the problem.

So, this was more common when WEP encryption was used. You could just listen to the radio traffic of the given network and collect IVs which the encryption would leak. Once you had enough pieces you could reassemble the key and access the network. When WPA came out it was harder, but tools like pyrit and john the ripper helped, so long as you were able to capture the 4-way TCP handshake.
To actually see the networks, you would build biquad parabolic antennas from old DirecTV dishes people left behind. They were very directional high gain antennas that you would just target at someone’s house. We’d also build cantennas from junk laying around. Those were interesting days.
