He’d be plastered across every website and front page of every newspaper, which of course takes attention away from the Toddler in Chief. Furthermore, the GOP doesn’t want Garcia to talk about how absolutely inhumane the conditions he would have been subject to, for obvious reasons.
Bringing him back is an admission of wrongdoing, and that’s one thing the GOP and Trump can’t do under any circumstances.
