Last week’s federal court decision forbidding the Trump administration from punishing the AP for refusing to rename the Gulf of Mexico was to take effect Monday. The administration is appealing the decision and arguing with the news outlet over whether it needs to change anything until those appeals are exhausted.

The U.S. Court of Appeals for the D.C. circuit set a Thursday hearing on Trump’s request that any changes be delayed while case is reviewed. The AP is fighting for more access as soon as possible.

No, actually ‘Blue no matter who’ quite literally would have prevented this, but a bunch of people decided that a protest vote over a genocide on the other fucking side of the fucking planet being done by a different fucking nation lead by a different fucking leader was a smart and morally correct move.

Short-sighted single issue dipshits across the political spectrum enabled this, just in different ways.

Oh, it’s completely the fault of the voters. It’s also the fault of the DNC’s messaging. The crappy economy (job markets and inflation/unchecked price gouging) meant that the uninformed were just voting for “Not the Party that’s Currently In Power” because the cost of groceries and rent was outstripping their paychecks, and the messaging coming from the DNC was completely tangential to that.

Regular everyday Joes don’t follow politics. Just because we do doesn’t make us representative of the general population. That sort of thinking is what made Trump’s victory a surprise - both times.

Agree with everything you said except that it is not the voters fault.

A lot of people actively avoid learning new things in general, which includes learning about current events and politics.

You’re still blaming voters instead of the shitty candidate 🤷‍♂️ good luck attacking people to get them to join your side

I’m not attacking them to get them to join my side. I’m pointing out the absurd degree of ass-backwards caveman logic being used to justify letting trump have the presidency. Ultimately, I don’t expect to convince anyone dumb enough to come out into public and argue your point, but I do intend to expose those people as short-sighted fools for getting us into this mess.

You’re not the goal, you’re the playing field. The people who were on the fence and then didn’t vote because of manufactured confusion about which candidate was going to be the best vote for Palestine are the target audience here.

I’m neither of those things sister or brother, but you are making the problem worse by attacking voters worried about their families.

If the Dems didn’t have such a shitty candidate they would have won. Most voters would rather see a random comatose patient than Trump as president, but Biden couldn’t meet that bar, and Harris was a 💩 candidate to begin with. She didn’t even get the bare minimum 15$ minimum wage she campaigned on as vice president, and 15$ isn’t even enough to live on anymore and most Americans support it lol
