Summary

Elon Musk handed out $1 million to a voter to boost Republican support in Wisconsin’s Supreme Court race, backing GOP candidate Brad Schimel against Democrat Susan Crawford.

The donation is part of Musk’s America PAC efforts to flip the court and counter “activist judges.”

Musk has invested over $20 million in Schimel’s campaign, with more surprise donations promised before the April 1 election.

The race is seen as a pivotal political battle, while Tesla faces legal challenges in Wisconsin over direct car sales.

What’s really not? If you think Trump or SCOTUS plan on allowing any sort of actual election to happen you’re sadly mistaken…

Barring something drastic happening, we’re cooked.

Negative Kimosabe. If that was a real actual possibility the protests would be real, and big and i would be a part of them.

No… if trump goes rouge and tries to stay in power, that is exactly why we bare arms.

I’ve seen so many now that are expressing great fear like yourself.

I don’t know how tank tops will stop trump but you do you. /s

But hey, remember when the overturning of roe v wade was just fear mongering and they wouldn’t really do it? How project 2025 wasn’t actually what they planned to do? How the supreme court would never grant broad immunity to a president? At this point, assuming Trump would try to keep power past 28 is just good sense.

Ok, I can see what you’re saying, but those things compared to Trump seizing control of the White House are much different things. I think yes, many idol worshipping Trumpsters would like Trump to take control, but that’s a small group compared to Republicans on the whole. Many Republicans own weapons for this reason. This is a democracy, everyone votes to choose our president. No wanna be dictators allowed.

Trump understands all this, he’s not going to start a civil war. If he does anything, I think he might try to make a 3rd term a thing, but he would do it through legal channels.

In scale maybe, but fundamentally it’s all about consolidating power and dismantling democracy.

but he would do it through legal channels.

Why start now? Also nothing short of a constitutional amendment can make that happen legally (unless the Supreme Court declares the constitution unconstitutional, hah). Even if he personally doesn’t retain power, I expect Republicans to dismantle the system to the point that they can just install another sycophant.

I don’t think you understand what exactly you’re suggesting. First, are you an American? It would be more understandable, maybe.

Republicans aren’t taking over, Trump isn’t taking over. If they were actually trying to take over, the majority of actual Republicans wouldn’t have that.

Lol right, no, it’s literally because we don’t want a tyrannical government. Also, look at England, that’s what we don’t want.
