I seem to remember reading you could scoop up a house in Detroit for literally a hundred bucks following the 2008 housing bubble. You had to fix it up - which was an undertaking as most of them literally had the copper ripped from the walls - and live there, but hey, affordable housing at least
Moreso remarking on how things aren’t going great right now and our leadership seems to think making things worse is ok as long as it’s ‘temporary’ as all these ‘temporary’ hardships are starting to pile up together.
