I can see where @[email protected] was coming from if you interpret “the ones responsible” as all Palestinians it certainly sounds like genocide, however I think you were probably referring to Hamas.
It was less “the ones responsible” and more “appropriate response”.
The appropriate response to 1,200 deaths is not to kill between 50,000 and 70,000 innocent civilians and state on multiple occasions “there are no innocent Palestinians”.
