That said I think the bike in the video is a motorcycle so that wouldn’t have helped them in this case.

Doesn’t really seem like it’s very solved to me?
The solution is to separate bike lanes from the road, this is ignore in basically all north american cities and else where too.
That said I think the bike in the video is a motorcycle so that wouldn’t have helped them in this case.
