People of faith provenly work against democracy on the daily. It’s a joke. Not an opinion.
I’m an atheist, so I don’t disagree with you. I abhor organized religion. But we need everyone who is anti-fascist to help. If we don’t work with them, despite differences, in the short term, we all lose in the long term.
We don’t need their kind of help. It comes at a cost of rights and freedoms. Which is not good for democracy.
We don’t need their help with votes against fascism? That’s some cut off your nose to spite your face thinking.
They’re not going to vote against fascism. That’s the point.
Then we are doomed.
If we are doomed without Christianity’s help… we were doomed before any of this ever started. The religious right will NEVER vote against oppression.
