I switched to Emby earlier this year and never looked back. All the core features are solid. And it works great on my AppleTV.

So manipulative is in quotes but slam isn’t. Quality writing there.
Ads “destroyed” TV. Streaming only became popular because it meant no fucking ads. Now ads are destroying streaming. Circle of capitalist life, I suppose.
WD/SanDisk have completely gone to shit. I’d go with Seagate. I have a bunch of IronWolf Pro drives that have been fast and reliable.
Shocker. Who could have seen this coming?!
Lol. Will the church spend even a tiny fraction of its wealth to help families? No? Didn’t think so. Get fucked🖕
“But we can’t possibly implement universal healthcare, how would we pay for it?”
I agree with the sentiment, but if Mint and Pop needed too much tinkering for OP, a hackintosh out of his Nvidia laptop would be out of the question, I assume.
Thank you for fixing the headline.
Don’t worry! They’ll keep voting against any and all environmental protection measures and against their own interests. And when the leopard eats their faces, they’ll just blame the libs, immigrants, China or whatever the en vogue boogeyman is at the time. And everything will be right as rain.
Not a horrible place to be stuck, though. Pop!_OS is pretty great. I run it on my media server and it’s been rock solid. I definitely wouldn’t mind running it on an old laptop.
Respectfully, but what the actual fuck are you talking about? I grew up in the shittiest of shitty SE-European countries, and we had daily lunch coupons that we could spend at any restaurant, cafe, grocery store etc. I never once went hungry at school, or went into debt. The very concept would absolutely abhor every European person I know.
Yes, we have our own problems. Tons of them. Some very serious. But the safety and basic human rights/needs of children is absolutely not one of them.
TIL that students’ lunch debt is a thing that exists 😳 In the words of Lauren Mayberry, “Americans are fucking weird”.
I think you’re missing the point a wee bit. No one (introverted or otherwise) is arguing against in-person socialising in general. They are arguing against forced in-person socialising with co-workers.
online meetings are extremely transactional
Exactly. You know what else is transactional? Jobs. The employer and employee exchange work for currency. Employees don’t owe their employer any meaningful relationships with their co-workers. I’m sure that means less efficient business. I also don’t give a flying fuck.
I find it similar to Scotland in many ways. It’s bloody cold and windy. Always reminds me of that Fairytale of New York song. The lyrics go “the wind blows right through you, it’s no place for the old”.
Wool layers work best. A long wool coat is perfect, if you have one. Puffer jackets are too bulky and sweaty if you take the train or the bus. You definitely need boots, but make sure they’re warm, waterproof and comfortable. You’ll be walking a lot.
Have fun!
