Hopefully I’ll get to finally play Gears of War 2.

Well I can’t do anything because it’s EU only. I did do the France thing in the beginning which any person could do, but this is a situation for those outside of the EU only being able to watch.
It was enough to make me too lazy to bother even when the hype was there. Now it seems even the community that plays/played it is negative on it so even less likely to bother with Ubisoft launcher for it than at launch. I have UPlay installed too, but I don’t even know if anyone in my friend list from Steam was playing it compared to other games that they are shown playing.
Even general desktop use is much more fluid like the mouse cursor, scrolling, and moving windows. I immediately notice if a monitor is running at 60 hz.
When I used it the launcher would constantly forget my login. And then for older games like Splinter Cell it asked for a login everytime I launched the game. It was ridiculous.
PS5 has been the generation of PS4 remasters/remakes. PS5 might as well be the PS4 Pro Pro and the PS5 Pro the PS4 Pro Pro Pro.
People would probably be like are they going to pay my bills? No? Whatever.
State of Fifa and NBA games is depressing. Even the annual release for roster updates wasn’t something I liked, but it being full on freemium casino at annual full price is why I stopped getting sports games years ago. Left too bad a taste to get ripped off like that.
I think it’s better to just admit someone doesn’t care and they want to consume than trying to creating some moral loopholes for why it is excusable for a product they really want.
It’s like piracy. Some try so hard to morally justify it. Others just admit I want it for free. In the end we just want to consume. I sure do. I want my product.
If someone is conflicted then best is to wait for a steep sale, bundle, or giveaway so it’s a decreased cut. Either way it’s a win win for the wallet and I don’t most people have trouble finding time to finish games and a backlog that keeps growing than having no games to play.
PS5 is just a sad sad gen with PS4 still being the highlight. Just really highlights how lucky Sony is that Xbox totally botched their own IPs this gen.
I don’t get the rationale for nerfing stuff in a coop game. Being able to feel overpowered and feel strong and still be fun for everyone is one of the strengths of coop over pvp.
I hope some mods come out that allows it to be skippable for single player games. I wonder what this means for the future of Playstation games on GOG, since Sony had been releasing games there.
Dead Space scared me so much it made me numb to lot of horror games since.
Wonder if the game will get a fov option. Game fov was nauseating even played on a TV so had to use cheat engine on PC to increase it.
When I emulated Metal Gear Solid 3 my PS3 controller came in clutch with the pressure sensitive face buttons.
No it was just a comment to getting a gaming PC and a console. I’ve had a PS3 and PS4 for just the exclusives and encountered the drawbacks as a PC gamer used to PC performance being forced to use a console for the exclusives. So console is not an area I’m unfamiliar with, and personally over two console generations I found my PC to be the better living room experience, since PS3 and PS4 fell short of performance expectations.
So this gen being able to not bother with one and just opt for only a hdmi cable was a dream come true as opposed to PC gaming and console combo. And looking at the console games that ended up trapped to being only playable on the console it was released while PC games I bought during the same time frame being playable and upscaling with the hardware to run better has made me more satisfied with my PC game purchases.
But those people are already using consoles because they find PC too confuse. This advice is for people who already have a gaming PC. Seems a waste of money to get something that can play triple a titles and then just relegate it to working on only a monitor and picking up a console to only play on the TV.
That’s what at least a $1000+ and then another S500-$700 and needing to buy games for another platform and internet subscription? Maybe doubling dipping on the same game along the way? I don’t see the selling point for a PC gamer.
It was even worse the previous two generations to do that since games running at 60 fps was a rarity so if you had a gaming PC it was the best device to actually take full advantage of the resolution and TV refresh rate. Otherwise it meant going nearly two whole decades of 30 and sometimes sub 30 fps gaming.
And now Sony games come to the PC after a delay and Xbox exclusives is no longer a thing. There’s less incentive than before for a PC gamer to put money into a console.
I’ve played the Steins;Gate ones and DDLC. I like that it’s relaxing when I don’t feel like doing something super interactive and the branching paths when it comes to story is cool. I picked up Chaos;Head Noah which I haven’t started yet but look forward to getting into the other visual novels in to SciADV series.
Steam Deck has been how I’ve read them, and it’s been great with the suspend feature making it book like in getting into it and out of it convenient.
