I still have no clue as to whether I should enable or disable Thread on my eero router.
To be fair, I use my main google account and haven’t had any issues in over two years now. But I also use SmartTubeNext regularly, so I understand.

Same. It’s like $5 for 6 months if you use a VPN at checkout. At that price point, why not.
A lot of Matter devices aren’t Thread, though, to be clear.
The only thing I dislike about Matter so far is that it doesn’t support Apple’s Adaptive Lighting feature. But it hopefully will someday. Until then, I tend to choose HomeKit-enabled devices.
Ironically, many of them turn out this way. Speaking from personal experience.
