  • All good suggestions, but mine is: Start with something redundant.

Do you use Google Drive? Set up Nextcloud and use both for a while.

Also, decide on user management first. It’s way better to have a central system for managing passwords/etc. Personally I use an Active Directory based off Samba4: https://github.com/Fmstrat/samba-domain because it’s got LDAP and expandable with Keycloak to OAuth and OIDC. This may sound overwhelming, but once you learn what they are, its fairly straight forward.

  • This is the opposite of what you think it is.

Google says it’s running the “time-limited” test because EU regulators and publishers “have asked for additional data about the effect of news content in Search.” The company says it will continue to show results from websites and news publishers located outside the EU, and it will resume showing results from EU news publishers once the test ends.

This is the EU testing what it would be like if they ditched Google, not Google testing what it would be like without the EU. The test also doesn’t impact the US.

  • Fair point, and certainly why I received down votes.

The catch is, and the way these initiatives take hold, is that telling your “manager” at the school, or placing a potential offender in a car for a brief period, doesn’t “seem that bad” under the context of school violence.

There are soooo many blatant disregard for the rules of humanity that are much easier to point at and say “This is wrong.”

Not condoning the behavior, I just think those making the policies like this one should have been listening to their people, and probably weren’t (surprise, surprise) because they thought this was a “minor” point they could let slide. The news has told them otherwise.

  • Unfortunately no, at least not that I can still find. It was really just a lap tray and I used industrial Velcro with adhesive on the back, along with an adhesive mousepad. The mouse holder is just from the box it came in.

The challenge was the lack of wireless for the single-handed hardware keyboard at the time, so a USB2BT module was needed, and those knobs I added at the top were for wrapping a wire from a tiny USB2.0 Hub for if I wanted to be wired.

Doing it again it would be 100% wireless with magnetic quick charge connectors on all the elements. (I got a million of them of different angles off Aliexpress and have them on all my travel items).
