I honestly don’t get why so many people are so upset.

I get it with things like insulin where we know how to make it for years. But a new revolutionary drug? Sure their production cost is low but that doesn’t include R&D and just think of how many drugs don’t work. That’s why when we do find something that works we can’t expect it to only pay for itself, it has to make enough buck to basically pay for them as well, because why else even bother?

Lol that’s like the same thing that happend with Stuttgart 21 where they agreed that the State had to pay 21% but 21% of the then projected cost. Now the DB and thus the Federal Government have to shoulder the cost explosion themselves.

Also back to main topic. It would be so hilarious to see the faces of all the internet warriors fighting for “cheap” and “reliable” nuclear energy seeing how THE EDF has to abandon their nuclear reactor because they will never ever ever get a return on their investments.

Why would you want 15ct energy in 20 years when you can get 7ct energy right now??

Who do you think they will pass on those costs? Basically all Airlines make their money on normal tickets and not on the class 1 tickets. What you really want are instead of 0% tax on Airplaine fuel, ridiculous taxes. That actually increases the COSTS of airlines and those do get passed on more to the rich as they travel a lot more inefficiently. They also can’t evade costs, but they can taxes.

And how does that change anything? These people with actual mental illnesses do it so it must be good? I don’t follow your line of reasoning.

I wanted to say that this is a hot take but it seems a lot of people in this comment section agree, It doesn’t matter what kind of book it is. Destroying books is and should very much be a big no no.

I feel bad every time I have to throw out a book. Because it’s not only a Symbol of wisdom and knowledge, it is also a testament to a world view, a thought process and identity.

Burning books is the very antithesis of what we consider a modern Society. It directly attacks fundamental rights, if only Symbolically. The right to think freely, to have a different opinion, the pursuit of knowledge to better ourselves and our Surroundings in pursuit of these world views.

This might be an unpopular opinion but I think this is basically ok. I mean more power = more drain on the battery and thus they need to make more money to offset the possible increase in Warranty cases. Also this would only really affect a tiny little subset of Buyers.
