I agree that this is a wider problem with streams as a genre.
I think the main problem is that starting a stream and talking about whatever in order to appeal to a larger and larger audience is rewarded rather than good research and preparing high quality content, like on YT or TikTok.
It’s just not possible when you’re streaming and would defeat the purpose. It’s all quantity over quality, so assholes get to the top.
I fucking hate all these streamer “personas”. They always turn out to be assholes.

You seem really chill about this, almost like that soyjack you posted.
I disagree. I think that some aspects of the software should be open about what they’re doing to everyone. Otherwise people just get used to the idea that everything is a black box that they have no real control of. It also helps educate people on IT and its concepts overall.
Even if they can’t specifically tell what is going on, they can see something is going on. And as long as this does not make it harder to use, the more info the better.
