Yes, the dogs are also communists.

  • Yes, they’re pushing for a two tier healthcare system. I’ve even heard some family members advocate for it to my face when I know for a fact that they themselves would/could never ever afford it. People think they are richer than they are and therefore are easily taken advantage of.

Canadians are an odd group, they’re mostly complacent and don’t like radical change unless they’re personally being hurt, unfortunately now that they are the change they want will end up hurting them more.

  • I see privatization being pushed the most in Alberta and Ontario (the amount of province funded ads I’ve passed by…) but some others may follow as well. This seems like a problem with giving provinces individual jurisdiction over their own funding, it’s why disability benefits are so inconsistent. Maybe if we actually nationalized our social services things would be better, but that also depends on the ruling government. As it stands, there really is no hope for any party to improve the lives of the citizens, they’ll push you to kill yourself rather than make life even the slightest bit accessible, it’s why they’re dragging their feet with the disability act.

  • Because of how underfunded our social services are, people now believe that they’re bad because they’re “free” and are seeing the American model as better and more sustainable. Conservatives here, as in the party, are using our problems to their advantage and it’s worrying. I truly believe things will get worse before they get better.

  • They’ve been planning on expanding MAiD to the mentally ill and not just people with terminal conditions. This plan has been in the works before a federal disability benefit was tabled in the House (every province has their own benefits but they’re not enough to survive on, all are below minimum wage, legislated poverty). That disability benefit was only passed a few months ago and wont be in effect till late next year. They’re more willing to allow people to kill themselves rather than provide the aid that they so desperately need. The consensus I’ve seen amongst the disabled, especially those with mental illness, is that having their needs met (housing is the biggest one) would drastically improve their life and they wouldn’t consider MAiD, but because so many are struggling they feel like their only option now is to die. I remember hearing a story about a disabled man who was struggling to find accommodating housing so he talked to his doctor about MAiD, and the only reason why that man is still alive is because his doctor went out of their way to help them. It shouldn’t take one sympathetic person to get accommodations for an individual but hats how it is here in Canada. Thankfully that man is alive (as far as I know) but many will fall through the cracks (craters). Sorry for the info dump, I’m just very passionate about this subject…

Freeland is the worst of the worst. She has a bachelor’s degree (at least) in Ukrainian and Russian history so she, out of everyone there knew who the fuck they were clapping for. You can also see in the footage how she is the most gleeful of them all as she gives a standing ovation for a goddamn Nazi, just like her grandfather.
