not a separate controller but the steam deck controller.
if that doesn’t count then it’s the Stadia controller.

it works surprisingly great on a controller
Right now it’s open to anyone who pre-ordered or anyone who has game pass. it’s open to everyone for free next week. maybe they should have called it limited instead of open, but it isn’t closed to anyone, anyone can get game pass and play the beta rn so it is technically an open beta.
and why are people playing CoD? because it’s really solid gameplay that recieves weekly updates and events to always keep things fresh. the new movement system in this one is really a game changer and makes the game a lot of fun to play.
BattleZone (the one from like 2016) is surprisingly fun and has optional VR support
i mean maybe the new drivers used maps, but even in the days of GPS I didn’t use any kind of map after the first 6 or so months of delivering, faster to not look it up when the address already tells you everything you need to know when you know the area.
My Xbox Series Controller, my Dualshock 4, my Dualsense, my Steam Controller, my Switch Pro Controller, My 8bitdo Ultimate Xbox controller, basically whatever is within reach, they’re all fine but I like the 8bitdo best.
Just use whatever you already have. If you don’t have anything I’d say go for the 8bitdo or the Xbox Series controller. They’re both excellent. The Switch pro has the buttons backwards, the PlayStation controllers don’t have the best build quality (I’ve gone through multiple of each even though I treat controllers kindly), and the Steam Controller is a little weird and not sold new anymore. So Xbox Series if you want to save money, 8bitdo Ultimate if you just want the best.
that’s a lot of good information, thank you
i think I’m gonna have to, now to pray the person who gifted it to me remembers the login for the steam account they made to buy it.
My laptop isn’t charging anymore so installing a different OS isn’t possible, fuck me right? when it rains it pours. I’ll contact support in the morning.
I’d love to try that but I’m also dealing with a separate issue where my laptop is refusing to charge so it’s dead and unusable. the deck is my only computer with power right now.
i have a second one and I tried setting that up and unfortunately the problem happens with both of them.
I also tried a wired connection after that and it does the same thing just “connecting to Wired connection 1” and then “failed to connect”
thanks for the ideas though
I really wanted to like this one but I just can’t handle being as much of a fuckup as this game will inevitably make you.
I’d be in the same situation if I wasn’t too broke for any of that
yeah, if it weren’t for my fiancée playing idk if I’d still be playing CoD at all.
I can’t program, but I only use Linux on both my laptop and desktop. All I really do on my computers is browse the web, light photo/video editing, print the occasional document, organize my photos, and play A LOT of video games. I was dual booting windows for a bit there for the games that won’t work on Linux, but I soon discovered that those games weren’t really worth dealing with the annoyances I had with windows for how often I actually wanted to play them… except CoD, but I have an Xbox so I just play that there. Deleting my windows partition was a great choice.
yeah this was one of my most anticipated games, until I saw this trailer and noticed the gameplay looks completely unchanged, now all my interest has disappeared.
right? I like it for us. its accurate and it’s fun to say.
I used to go on 4chan, on a variety of boards, every day for 10 years (06-16) some boards are better than others, and /b/ is definitely the worst by a lot, but they’re all terrible.
Honestly I don’t care, that’s a pretty reasonable price compared to the lot of the content sold for AAA games. This isn’t even noteworthy in 2024
no, that’s the problem, there won’t be a new Sims game. Sims 4 has been a zombie of a Sims game since it came out 10 years ago and EA just announced that they’re more than happy to let it’s corpse shuffle around for the foreseeable future, rather than make a Sims 5 that people actually like.
