So you steal a car? That’s how you would handle that problem?

I’m aware of Kuru, which is nearly if not entirely eradicated. That doesn’t invalidate any of my points
It’s just infectious disease my guy
Fair point on the vehicle, my mistake.
On your second point, it’s not outlandish for me to suggest he find a way to get to court without stealing a vehicle. Public transit, get a ride from a friend, Uber, bicycle are all options. But, yes, if all of those were impossible he could walk. It would not take multiple days to walk a 30 minute drive, but it would probably be an 8 hour walk. Still a better option than stealing a car.
Tbf I don’t think this person needed to steal an ambulance to attend his court date. They schedule those months in advance, he had time to figure out a 30 minute trip. I hope no one died because an ambulance was suddenly missing
Mammals eat mammals all the time, think of predators (wolves, bears, lions, tigers) and prey (rabbits, prairie dogs, deer). I don’t see any reason why eating a human, or eating something that ate a human, would lead to prion disease.
Why would that be the case? Unless those 2 people already had prion disease, I’m not understanding the connection you’re alleging.
Why would feeding an animal humans lead to prion disease?
Actually amazing. How is this the timeline we’re in
I’m not going to argue semantics.
Obesity and being overweight overlap. Like how all squares are shapes but not all shapes are squares
Good question. I got off Reddit after they banned third party apps, but I should probably get off Lemmy as well.
There were a lot of great things about Reddit that originally led me there, but everything I loved about it was gone by the time I left. I was hoping Lemmy would fill that hole; I was looking for a place for great insights and opinions around niche topics. But Lemmy feels more like a political echo chamber, which is a shame.
The original comment we’re responding to is a great example of that. There’s no reason for ignorance to be hated like it is here, but dislike and getting on the negative bandwagon is what Lemmy thrives on.
I’ll probably be gone soon, and your comments are a big part of that. I genuinely don’t mean that as an insult, it’s just that you inspired some retrospection introspection. I guess this comment is basically just for myself in the end, but thank you.
Well, I agree that the users here aren’t nice or smart. So here we are.
Lmao most downvoted comment for asking a reasonable question (albeit with a pretty well understood answer). Lemmy truly is reddit 2.0
No shit
A grammar Nazi in 2024? I’m surprised. Yep, autocorrect added an apostrophe, good catch. I’m not changing it.
You mean the domestic terrorists are still here? I’m shocked, shocked I tell you! Why haven’t all the good apples in the police force arrested them for their blatant disregard for the law? It’s not because they’re white and conservative, right?
I don’t, I’ll have to look more into it. Having (somewhat recently) done work in nursing homes, I personally didn’t view this as a new problem, but my information could be biased or outdated.
At least one source who couldn’t comment publicly stated they weren’t joking
I almost thought “kids aren’t that dumb”, then I remembered that I jumped out of a tree with an umbrella once because I saw it in a cartoon
