Please read my comment again. Particluarly from the point “…from the very few roles they COULD take…”. Also, there might be a case for historical accuracy and sensitivity, but sorry, the magic man flying around with his zappy hammer film doesn’t fit this criteria. Also, Hamilton says Hi!
No actor/actress should have their pool of potential roles made vanishingly small because of a thing they can’t change, the colour of their skin! And then on top of there being very few roles for people of colour in western pop culture based on your criteria, the very few roles they COULD take are often ALSO given to white actors/actresses in bizarre acts of whitewashing idiocy! It’s infuriating! Talent, passion, skill, training, these should be the kinds of factors involved when choosing who gets cast for what role, not where you fall on the colour wheel! It’s just crazy to me that it’s even a consideration at all and in future people will look back and be incredulous that it ever was!? At least I hope that will be the case, as we are making slow progress in that direction.
When you turned the TV on you had to wait a minute for it to ‘warm up’. The black and white image would slowly emerge out of the darkness.
When the printer ‘ran out of ink’ you wound the ribbon back onto the starting spool and ran it through again. The next time you might need to turn it upside down to get any more out of it.
0:00 We all know, that GNOME has been one of the best desktop environments providing
0:03 a graphical user interface for the Linux operating system. It delivers a next-level
0:08 user experience that is similar to Windows and macOS. However, there are a few things you can

Hell yeah!! I absolutely would! I would love to see a bit of the travels, travails and tribulations some went through just to get there! And then follow mime running / rat poison & eggnog guy; starving / cut down suit / stole peaches / rotten apple nap time guy (he could be a whole movie on his own!); drove half the course in a car / pretended to win but just for jokes dude and would have done better but was chased a mile off course by wild dogs man?!? Maybe a quick check in on massive internal injuries due to dust inhalation fella?? Also I want to know about intentional dehydration man!?! Was that really the best time to test your theories on intentional dehydration?? I mean, I guess it was but WTF?!?
Holy heck?! Who is this psychopath?! “You must conform!” in this case basically = “You must assimilate!”. This is why some version of CRT, at least an overview of the fundamentals, SHOULD be taught in highshool so students can recognise these sorts of policies for what they often are. But the system is hardly going to educate the subjects of its oppression is it, or they might actually recognize and resist policies and practices that are rooted in racism and discrimination. Can’t have that!
Wow, I’m amazed that you’re having to explain this to people?! I thought we knew this already?? Good on you for taking the time to patiently explain it so clearly for those that somehow missed that memo! Legend! :-)
Just for a bit of context I was “surfing the internet” in 1994 via Gopher, an early alternative to the web as we know it now and I used it primarily to find and download apps stored on computers connected to the internet.
In 1995 I was using the Mosaic browser and later Netscape to surf the World Wide Web mostly via webrings that were individual webpages that had links to other wepages of similar content linked to them.
I don’t recall and am not aware of anything that would resemble a meme from that time? This is a year or so before Dancing Baby which is usually considered the first viral video and even then that was originally shared via email forwards.
Yikes, after reading that thread in its entirety I unsubbed from their channel. They will have to do a LOT to get me to ever come back. I’m not sure if that’s even possible?
They do, but only in certain categories. You can’t just own “X” for everything from media to music, technology, fashion etc. You stake your claim for example as Microsoft have done on X when relating to videogames or financial services and so a competitor can’t start a competing videogame company called “X” or “X Games” etc. Meta have trademarked the use of “X” with regards to social media so this will get interesting :-)
Sorry but I just… DOB Septembuary 3st. It goes 1st, 2st, 3st, 4st, 5st or first, secost, thist, fourst, fifst etc…
