Great news! is there a chance this will eventually lead to screen tearing protocol getting implemented?
Could be true for governmental work and computers but the masses aren’t moving to linux, it’s still under 1% in China.
Going to ask here, anyone know a music player that is similar to AIMP? It has no native support, unfortunately.
thanks!
Looks nice! which icons are these?
it all makes sense now! solved.
UPDATE: I am an idiot.
I was setting the acceleration method for the wrong device all the time. I didn’t realize to select the actual mouse from the dropdown in KDE mouse settings until I plugged in my old mouse in.
Anyway that’s the acceleration solved. Also as qwesx pointed out, there is some issue with my Logitech Pro X Superlight. The mouse feels more sluggish when using the wireless dongle compared to it being wired. Must be the wrong polling rate or something?
Huh, it could be that I need a fresh install. I will try adding KDE Neon or something on my Ventoy and post an update. Thanks!
I recently built a custom keyboard by getting Keychron Q6 and Ducky One 3 PBT keycaps, the space is slightly tight if it’s not placed evenly, but they work and have shine-through! for the switches you should do your own research, since I like tactile :)
Anyway the keyboard works via the browser app VIA which is open source
edit: check maxgaming if you’re nordic. they have decent selection, it’s where I got my Q6
I also have an issue when starting up Flatpak Steam on Nobara. Steam started suddenly “bootlooping”. It appears in the background tasks of GNOME and disappeara after a few seconds.
I found a workaround, however; Start by closing it in the backround apps, right-clicking Steam on the dock and selecting any page to open to, like friends or store
I am also dual booting because of game compability and Virtual Reality support.
I think once wine-wayland gets fully merged we will see a clear uplift in performance, at least on wayland.
This very much.
The reason I switched was the forced updates that kept slowing down my computer when I needed the juice and network. Also there was a constant pressure to “upgrade” to win11.
OP, If you don’t have many major grievances with windows, it might not be worth switching. Nothing stopping you from taking a look in case you might like it. I have enjoyed my experience so far, despite some small issues.
Nobara on my desktop, Pop_os! on my laptop. As soon as the new COSMIC DE is ready I will switch to Pop on my desktop as well.
Vampire Survivors?
I’ve been able to ban whole instances with Connect for Lemmy and hide nsfw. Made the browsing a lot more enjoyable
