I bought a 2015 leaf back in 2016. Has held up incredibly well. Range has dropped by 2-3 bars during ownership, which translates to going from around 90 estimated miles to around 60. I drive it around 20-30 miles a day and usually end up with around 50% battery left. The only real work has been standard maintenance replacements: cv boot, 12v battery, trunk lift hydraulics, tires.
Coincidentally, I’ve converted my wife to preferring electric cars over ice too, so we have a second 2022 leaf with the larger battery. So nice from the never caring about gas and lower maintenance perspectives.
That nose is amazing. The contrast between the pink and black bits is fantastic.

If advertising is meant to get attention and spark conversation, then goal achieved.
Worth noting, there is a difference between “lock” and “freeze”. See this article for the difference but I believe freezing is preferable https://krebsonsecurity.com/2018/09/credit-freezes-are-free-let-the-ice-age-begin/
Freezes are free now and my experience has been they are instantaneous for freezing and thawing.
Result: “sorry we shared your personal data, here’s a check for 38 cents. “
But will we get a “deal with it” meme from Geordi?
This is both sad from the perspective that it was the last time and nice from the perspective that during that last time, I wasn’t bogged down with that knowledge and was able to enjoy it for what it was at the time.
I’m saving this post, not because I’m particularly fond of this meme but instead because I personally feel this image sums up so many reactions I normally have day to day.
That arms flailing last moment of “I regret everything” was great.
As a parent with children who don’t like baths but are now to old to get away with this, I feel this as a missed opportunity.
This was great to watch. Even more, it’s amazing so much has happened so recently!
It’s only a matter of time till someone moves a stock market for profit with a deep fake. If it hasn’t happened already.
Just what we need in the new year:
The sun is nearing the peak of its 11-year or so solar cycle. Maximum sunspot activity is predicted for 2025.

Never thought of that last bit. Might try it. Thanks for the tip!
