Democrats have basically done everything possible do discourage any enthousiasm in there base. Or campaigning on any issue. Even vs Trump you need more than “this is just an old DNC guy who won’t do anything” to get party volunteers campaigning.

Democrats and Republicans agree on unions, with few exceptions.

Also they (correctly) assume most of rhe current electorale doesn’t yet know what a vpn is

I think the fallout of the Obama election would be that. Trump is just the latest evolution of the tea party that swept the midterms after.
