Odd comparing to what? Two rounds is the way to ensure the president has a majority: first you vote for who you want, second time you veto. This is how you elect presidents in countries like France, Brazil, Romania, Portugal…it makes sense :)
PS: Macron did not resign, these are not presidential elections, this is a legislative election only.
That actually sounds good, I just dont know how they will spread salt periodically over the millions of square kms needed to make a difference on the Pacific’s albedo without a huge carbon footprint.

They did that because of Fukushima and some sociological factors in the german population (which maybe come from Chernobyl’s time too)…I’m sure they regretted putting all chips on gas after the invasion of Ukraine…but then again with what is happening in the ZNPP, I’m not so sure anymore. Meh…the felon population is not supposed to be large enough to influence elections…looks up incarcerated numbers…Louisiana/Oklahoma/Mississipi: nearly 1%…ok…new voting group: the incarcerated…but…who wants to fight for that vote?
Good point, a sad part of today’s jornalism is that I don’t trust a journalist to have checked that before publishing. :/
Indeed, but normally you need a suspension of normal life like a war to make a genocide possible, so it is more useful to look at this very comprehensive list to be aware of potential or ongoing genocides than wait for one to have been officially confirmed. https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/List_of_genocides find one that isn’t associated with a war.
Apparently, that causes radio interference, but I don’t think it lasts that long (days to hours)
