So it’s transcendent to our scientific way of making sense of stuff. Which is a pretty good definition for magic.

It’s more of an ensemble of virtue-signals denoting membership in a certain tribe. Same people tho.

Actually yes, they changed. Dr Who literally changed sex and race.
I can manage color and direction being illusory, but distance, that’s jarring.
That sounds pretty good.
It’s so easy to mistake dreams for reality tho. That’s key.
Intentionally getting sucked in is the number 1 recreation on earth.
Unintentionally, well, it’s so smooth, practically first nature. Ubiquitous and all-dominating. It bears discussion.

Me too. I have become very particular in my age tho. 90% of them I quit around chapter 1.
Are you familiar with royal road? The works of DWinchester?
I am sperg, which is arguably an uncommon shape of attention. And I meditate. Which is all about doing certain stuff with attention (and studying it, unavoidably philosophizing about it, etc)
Which is an uncommon perspective, maybe. But surely other people study it too. (So many of us are enmeshed in it after all, and depend on their facility in it for their profession. )
And yes, it’s a big deal. A very big deal. An elephant in the room.
