That Corna one over there, at least in Portugal, comes from we saying to put (on) the horns (por os cornos) means you’re cheating on your partner, making them the horned one (cornuda/chifrudo).
So I think doing that gesture to someone not your partner is an insult as much as any other hand gesture you can make as long as you are talking angrily.

I’m with you but sometimes you don’t have the chance in low level. Max you can do is create local variables just so the bits you’re XORing are more obvious. And whenever you’re working with something where that’d be wasteful and the compiler doesn’t rid if it, you’re better off with comments (which you need to maintain, ugh)
Good code is self documenting as in you don’t need to describe what it is doing and it is clear to read. Whoever says that and isn’t just repeating what they heard understands that whenever you are doing something not explicit in the code it should be on a comment.
Workarounds and explaining you need to use this structure instead of another for some reason are clear examples, but business hints are another useful comment. Or sectioning the process (though I prefer descriptive private functions or pragma regions for that).
It also addresses the hint that the code should be readable because you’re not going to have comments to explain spaghetti. Just a hint, doesn’t prevent it. Others also said it, comments are easier to get outdated as you don’t have the compiler to assist. And outdated comments lead to confusion.
Heh, I got 33 characters (31 not counting the “de”) in mine and that’s because I didn’t get more than one first name since my parents preferred it that way, but everyone here often gets two.
In mine the de is a separator and we often omit it. So I wouldn’t count it.
Yeah royalty names get crazy, even there noble ones, they want to display all origins and since they inbred with all the possible houses at this point they got a lot of stickers to flaunt about.

Do you count the de’s and la’s as names? To me you’d have your mother’s surname’s R and E and father’s (L) M, plus you names LAF. Though, 3 first names, that’s going strong! You guys do use mother/father and not father/mother when ordering right?
I played both back then and saying it’s a copy is saying warcraft is a copy of red alert. Kairosoft had a lot more interesting details and the agency was different. Game dev story you’d have total control of what the game you made would come out with through the bars. Game dev also had the whole console/game history going on in a way that Kairosoft didn’t.
