In my experience, the EU is very thorough when assessing the adequate spending of the funding it gives to educational & cultural entities.
What percentage of total budget does it make?
About 0.6% apparently. Not great, not terrible.
I don’t care about percentage. If I can use 100m to hire people to persecute fraud that would still mean 1.7b more money to spend on stuff.
