BUT A) It always costs at least as much as a plane but often much much more B) it’s slower than driving! C) the stops are so limited you basically have to follow major coastal cities or you’re SOL Literally if any of these three things were changed I would take weekend trips all the time

Honestly I wish that was the case in the US.
For most people, trains are not a alternative.
Often trains cost more. Many train stations are messes and share space with busses.
I desperately want to take a train anywhere. BUT
A) It always costs at least as much as a plane but often much much more
B) it’s slower than driving!
C) the stops are so limited you basically have to follow major coastal cities or you’re SOL
Literally if any of these three things were changed I would take weekend trips all the time
mah tax dollars ain’t gunna buy some socialist transport system!
