Doesn’t apply to lesbians or 45 year old women who still don’t want to get married or don’t regret the choices they were free to make.

Sure, but it applies to those who forced themselves in a couple that hasn’t worked that fine, and collapsed while they were turning 35~40… Unless they found someone else (male or female) or are happy living by there own…

So it only apply to those who blame their old choices instead of the way they search to solve their problem.

for anyone in a similar position. let me preface this by saying: nothing matters, and thats the best news you’ll ever hear.

go online, buy a big bag of mushrooms and some weed. take a few friends out to the woods, or go by yourself. and go have some fun. or do it at home in comfort and safety. up to you.

you dont need to throw your own flesh and blood into the grinder of existence, to extract value from your own spirit. leave the wisps in the void. they dont need to experience what is only a few short decades away.

partnerships dont need to be romantic to have value, but the best ones start with friendship, and graduate into unconditional love. if you want a lover, they are easy to find. if you want a friend, well, thats a gift you give yourself. im sure you have some already. enjoy them. or find some and go wild.

if having a child is important. consider adoption. there are plenty of children out there who could use your help, they didnt ask to be here. none of us did. but you weathered the storm, and stand still despite your struggles, and that could very well be a great foundation as a guide to the young in this changing world. however, its not necessary for you to sacrifice your solitude to feel fulfilled and happy. most of us are too drugged up on corporate fluff to ever see pass the veil of why such pressures are put on humans to “fall in love and fuck”… to put it bluntly.

ill cut this short with some bittersweetness. the world is ending… for humanity. our time is soon to be up. climate change and all the fallout from it will inevitably kill most species on the planet by the end of this century, humans are guaranteed to be an extinct species a mere 75 years from now (or at least shrink to numbers small enough that we could never hope to repopulate the planet, these will be the rich assholes that eat each other in their bunkers and space stations well before the climate would ever accept us again on the surface) and there is literally nothing that can stop it. it will get progressivly worse and worse year over year. the most compassionate act you could have for the wisps in the void that could have been a child is to not bring them into this one. but for the ones that are here, perhaps you can set up a full lifetime for them. maybe they will get to watch the final sunset themselves. a once per species event.

id like to say we could save ourselves, but we cant. there is literally zero hope in this fact. and once you accept that, you realize one of two things. “nothing matters!!!” and “nothing matters!!!”

personally ive taken great refuge in the idea.

nothing matters, therefore, there is no expectation on my performance as a human. my only personal agenda is to extract as much enjoyment from life as possible. and i wont feel any guilt about it since…well… it doesnt fucking matter! no future human archaeologists are going to unearth my tomb and look at my bones and say “this guy was a real bastard for eating too much bread, and enjoying rare steaks and redwine. he sucked because he smoked a lot of weed and played a lot of video games instead of maximising share holder value by working and creating future slave offspring, sacrificing his own sanity and self worth in the process, look at this bio scanner, he didnt even have a six pack of wash board abs! …what a piece of shit! didnt he know about ozempic???”

and the reason they wont say that, is because NONE OF US WILL EXIST, AND OUR VALUES AND HISTORY WILL BE A FART IN THE WINDS OF ETERNITY.

you made the moral choice, you made the choice to end the cycle before it began. enjoy what life remains in you, knowing that you didnt force anyone into a lifetime of suffering, death, disease, war, famine, and oppression.

you did good, kid. you did good.

go carve your name in the stone somewhere, let the aliens or hyper evolved ant people that replace us know you were here, and that you had a good time.

      ...ill cut this short with...

      Dirty liar 😁

But a wonderful post, despite being a bit more fatalistic than it probably actually is. Nice stance on adoptio one rarely sees. Most people are so hellbent on procreating while so many kids would love to have parents that actually want kids.

with every end there is a new beginning, such is in life and death. there is no fear in the end. only oneness and a return. regardless of our choices during the coming years, and the outcomes that follow. there will be a time, eventually, where the universe as we know it will cease. what came before, or what comes after doesnt matter. what matters is the here, and now. and right now, i appreciate your kindness, much like a child appreciates the comfort and safety of a loving home. thank you for your practical, caring, and hopeful mindset! may your mind and heart ring well beyond their time. :D

i love that you have held on to your hope for a clean future! just dont read into any scienctific projections, history, geopolitics, economics, human psychology, basic math, and disconnect from the internet while plugging your ears and screaming at the top of your lungs whenever anyone mentions record high temps, and you should be able to hold onto it a lot longer than i did! :D

Just like those who predicted the certain collapse that takes place before this millenium?

We have a problem? Yea no shit. Will everyone die soon™? Somehow these predictions always get postponed.

its not an overnight thing, so “soon” is relative. soon as in the next 4 to 8 generations based on 25 year increments. each one having a lower quality of life than the last. if so. yes, its “soon” and thats based on whether or not we kill ourselves first with nukes or can properly adapt the masses to a new way of living in that world.

also which collapse prediction specifically are you talking about? the rome accords? Y2K? the ozone layer? something like that?
