Former House Speaker Nancy Pelosi on Tuesday said the newly named interim speaker, GOP Rep. Patrick McHenry of North Carolina, has ordered her to vacate her office in the Capitol building.

She does maintain her regular office in the Cannon House office building.

An email sent from McHenry’s office to Pelosi’s office just after 6 p.m. Tuesday evening that was viewed by CNN, stated, “Going to reassign h-132 for speaker office use. Please vacate the space tomorrow.”

Pelosi said in a statement that she was not in Washington, DC, to immediately move her belongings.

Still in the house just not the speaker. Apparently it’s a tradition that former speakers are allowed to have larger offices out of respect. But a lot of Republicans just love to hate Nancy Pelosi.

Probably not, since it’s a role for a representative, not a separate job.

But that doesn’t mean that there isn’t an unofficial office.

Nancy Pelosi is a terrible person tho. Actually a garbage human.

You don’t need to be a politician, a democrat, or even a republican to not like her.

I don’t really get why you need to be a republican in order to qualify to dislike her. Her being a shitty person should be a good enough reason.

If you like her purely because you are a democrat then you need to examine yourself. Have a little integrity ffs. In fact the main reason things are so fucked up is because a lot of people tend to pick teams without considering facts. It doesn’t matter that she sucks as long as she is on your “team” right?

I don’t think she’s a “terrible person” she’s definitely not perfect; she’s done things I agree with and she’s done things I disagree with, sometimes vehemently disagree with. There are Democrats that I think are despicable (Bob Menendez for example) and Republicans that I didn’t share views with but I thought were completely honorable people (former senator Flake for example). I try not to see politics as a team competitive sport. I try to see it as an exercise in cooperative disagreement.

She hoards wealth all off the backs of the American people. She is a corrupt politician who takes bribes (lobby money) to push corporate agenda. You either don’t care about that or you have been brainwashed into thinking this is normal/acceptable.

You may agree with some of her political ideas but no one gets into her position without being a garbage human being. Sick of listening to people like you who completely overlook this shit.

So then tell me this. What does it take in your book to be a “terrible person”?

That’s cool. Keep supporting terrible politicians. It’s not like I’d ever expect you to change.

I think it’s a lot more weird that you read “I don’t want to marry” and you immediately go to “he’s Indian!”

You say that as if you actually know me. I’m willing to bet that the picture you have of me in your mind is very inaccurate.

Do I need to know you? When you’re happy to say that you think a person like Pelosi isn’t terrible then what else should I think?

It’s either you’re disconnected from reality or you support the fucked up shit that she’s into.

In either case your opinions come from a place of ignorance.

Well I wish you well in your crusade. I think you would be more successful by learning how to create coalitions and persuading people rather than berating them but who knows maybe it’ll work out for you. By the way, ignorance literally means “not knowing” and the best way to combat ignorance is through education. Somehow I think we both feel like we failed here today.

So cool. Then you also think Sen. Rick Scott (R-Fla.), Rep. Greg Gianforte (R-Mont.), Vernon, Don Beyer, and Dean Philips are so much worse, right? The more money, the more terrible they are, right? Then you also have Rick Scott, Mark Warner, Mitt Romney, and Mike Braun. All terrible people even though you possibly only know two facts about them.

Right. You’re almost there. It’s almost as if the system is broken and corrupt. These people take advantage of that instead of fixing it, all so they can get rich. It’s all at the expense of you, your family, and friends.

So instead of normalizing it we should be fighting it. Sounds like you all are a lot more comfortable with the normalization route. It’s OK that politician A is corrupt because B C and D are way worse, right? Yet some how you expect change? Nothing is changing expect for billionaires adding another billion and your friends and family are getting poorer.

So tell me again how these politicians aren’t terrible people?

Who gives a shit what kind of person she is? I only care about what kind of job my politicians are doing. None of them are golden gods.
