I’d like to buy and play BioShock infinite again given it’s on sale, for five euros more I could even buy the entire collection.
I read the negative reviews, as usual I mainly look for “anti-customer practices,” such as Denuvo or custom launchers and so on. Thanks to those reviews, I learned that a somewhat recent update to all the three games added 2K launcher: while I know that it’s pretty easy to bypass, I’m afraid this launcher could’ve come with an always-online requirement (see Mass Effect Legendary Edition and RDR2).
Can anyone who’s played any of the three clear up this doubt of mine?

P.S. Normally my laptop is online, so it wouldn’t really be a big deal. But I plan on playing them on Deck, which I like to keep offline in order to increase battery life as much as possible. Plus I’d like to avoid creating a precedent.

A couple of options worth knowing about since I don’t know/own the games:

    1. A DRM free version looks like it’s available at GOG. This is probably the simplest solution to not have to worry about any potential issues
    2. People seem to be reporting that the Steam version can be launched directly from the executable bypassing the launcher. If there is a Steamworks DRM check you could always use Goldberg’s steam emulator to get around that for fully offline play.
