    The worst are the “feel good, motivational” stories of someone who became disabled then overcame it to become a marathon runner or a mountain climber, implying that all disabled people need is willpower.

      Right? As if an already fit and sporty person loosing a limb is the same as someone with a degenerative muscular condition or chronic pain and fatigue, just because they’re both disabled… 🤦‍♀️
