It’s honestly the least he could do. Sure he was a good president with good policies but keeping your head down and fixing things that the GOP are only going to claim credit for isn’t helpful at the moment. The DNC has managed to turn decades of good will and evaporate it into nothing. So yes, giving us this small inconsequential win would not be too big of an ask.

Oh no, those poor wealthy maga merch company owners would have to print something new knowing their cult would feel obligated to buy it?

Funny in theory but it’d just enrich the grifters. Yeah, the cult members deserve it…but I can’t get behind furthering the wealth divide

I was thinking this too. Except he should do it right before Thanksgiving, so Kamala’s fist job as president is pardon the turkeys.

Expand the Supreme Court to 200 people, appoint the most progressive persons out there. Federally legalize marijuana and drop all restrictions on it. Forgive all student and medical debt. Raise the federal minimum wage to $30/hr. Tax all rental income at 4,000%.

Sure it would probably all get undone before the Toupee hit 100 days in office, but what a sweet couple months that would be.

My 85 year old German mother-in-law (born in 1939 and moved to Canada around 1960), suggested the same thing.

(PS I’m an American living in Canada)

Canadian here, the health care is useable. It keeps being underfunded atleast here in Ontario but you can get it with no cost… just be prepared to wait in ER.

If you can wait in an ER there are people that have it worse… proper distributed healthcare outside hospitals would dramatically reduce this issue, GPs handle so much that the US handles through emergency rooms.

During his first term at the gym this little old lady was working out on the treadmill next to me and when Kelly Ann Conway came on the tv, she leans over and goes, oh that lady shouldn’t be alive. (paraphrasing to not get banned)

Didn’t Obama also kick out more illegal immigrants than a bunch of presidents before him? Maybe I’m misremembering, but I do remember nobody giving a shit about illegal immigrants being kicked out. Then Trump came and people freaked out, as if it didn’t happen under Obama as well.

        Shit was weird.

Obama was literally known as deporter-in-chief and he deported more in his in either of his terms than Trump did in his four years Source. But be careful some smart ass is probably gonna start screaming you can’t say both sides, and you’re a foreign asset trying to depress the vote because they can’t be bothered to read.

thanks for sharing that. i was not aware of it. it’s particularly brutal that the link is fact checking ron desantis of all people, but i guess it’s not impossible for a republican to say something true on occasion (even if by accident).

i thought this quote from the link was particularly damning:

But did Trump deport fewer people than Obama? There are different deportation metrics, and Obama surpassed Trump’s numbers in each one.

From my perspective it was less about the numbers and more about how vocal Trump was about his intentions. Add to that the family separation policy and the STILL MISSING children when he’s a known associate of Epstien there was plenty to be upset about.

So you claim that Trump is objectively worse because he was vocal rather than Obama doing it on a muted basis? Despite Obama doing substantially higher numbers? That is definitely some take on these set of facts.

All that would do is gut new trump merch out into the world, and earn him more money. How would this be good?

fwiw she briefly had presidential powers a couple years ago when Biden was sedated for a medical procedure. Source.

The funny thing is reading the source article, when Trump had the same procedure, he didn’t make Pence the acting president because he didn’t trust Pence with presidential powers for even an hour.
