June is pride, which covers the LGBTQ+ spectrum but is usually mostly focused on gay people in terms of who gets the most attention/consideration/etc at least in the media, and isn’t specifically about the history of LGBTQ+ people. Trans people have been targeted a lot lately, so imo a history month is a good idea for helping to normalize their existence and spread awareness about their history (which a lot of people aren’t aware of, a lot of people think that being trans is just a recent trend which isn’t true).
