Played out some 4-5 hours more of Dragon Age: Inquisition, there are still 3-4 areas I haven’t even started exploring, so this is going to take a few months more.

Also played a few hours of The Legend of Zelda: Ocarina of Time. Some spoilers if you haven’t played the game. If your client doesn’t auto-hide them, you should skip next 3 paragraphs.

Ocarina of Time spoilers

Cleared the Zora area, was a bit lost on how to get to the stone, but figured it out after running around for a bit. Got stuck in the dungeon though, couldn’t figure out how to proceed. There were couple of switches but needed to put something on it or the door closes. Had to look it up that you have to talk to the Princess multiple times. Since majority of NPC don’t change their dialogue, I didn’t bother talking to her again after hearing her dialogue.

So, cleared the dungeon, got stuck again at finding “Ocarina of Time”, then finally got the master sword, and found out that BotW wasn’t the first time when Link slept for years, apparently it’s a thing he do. Alo, Link got bigger! I didn’t know about that, so that was surprising.

Now, I am again stuck at Karakiro Village, since the Sheik told me to go there, but can’t figure out what to do. Impa was supposed to be at graveyard, but can’t find it there. And have tried most buildings in the village and there isn’t anything directing me where to go. There is obviously something under the well, but my bomb can’t destroy it yet, so will come back to it later. Well, I am not stuck enough yet to look up what to do, going to see if I missed anything. Maybe will figure something out.

I was also playing Swords and Soldiers in small bursts. Finished it. It was a fun little game, and I’ll recommend it if you like the genre. I have heard that second game is better in every way, so have added it to my wishlist. Sad to see that the studio has closed though.

Phew that went for a while 😀

So, what have you been playing lately? Or any game that you would like to recommend?

    Over the past few weeks:

    • Did the final battle(s) in LoZ OoT. Not actually that easy - for the first part, I thought I was dealing damage, but it was going on literally forever. As a recurring theme for me, I had to read how I was meant to progress.
    spoiler

Turns out hitting the energy balls back at him isn’t enough! Got to shoot him and run and hit him. But if you’d already raided the all pots below for magic top-up and hearts, you’re going to run out of magic before you can beat him…

The final final battle seemed hard, but was easy enough once I turned off z-targeting.

    • Started playing LoZ ALttP, but I just couldn’t really get into it. I loved Link’s Awakening (GB version), but maybe I’m just not in the mood for 2D Zelda right now.
    • I bought Need for Speed Paradise City on sale before. It’s alright for a while, but you often end up doing a race and then immediately driving the same race in reverse, so it’s a bit repetitive. Also the city environment is quite industrial, which is maybe the point, but I usually miss the turns because it’s mostly a grey blur. Unlocked the fastest motorbike. It’s fast.
    • Bought Skyward Sword HD, mainly for my son. Too early to say much about it, but there’s this move where you point your sword at the sky to charge it, and it’s quite difficult to actually hold the joy con in the right position for the game to recognise it. It’s kinda annoying.

Edit: also did a run through of pokemon blue (emulated, with random battles turned off) because it’s so quick. It’s one of my all-time top games, and I still play it every now just to enjoy it again

      That’s a nice list.

I am still in Forest Temple, so not going to look at that spoiler (and thanks for using the spoiler tag).

Link to the Past was probably the first Zelda game I ever saw / played. Didn’t even know what Zelda was back then. I am using played very generously here, cause I probably didn’t even play an hour of it, but it has caused some kind of nostalgia for that kind of games. Still, no reason to force a game if you aren’t in the mood for it.

I am not much of a racing games fan, but I just started Horizon Chase Turbo yesterday. It’s plain racing without any other nonsense. It’s pretty easy though (at least in the start, where I am), so great for me, but not sure if racing game veterans will like it or not.
