I saw a headline today that tons of people are now calling for Trump to drop out.

I’d honestly love to see Trump and Biden step down so we have the potential to actually get candidates worth voting for. None of this “if you don’t vote were fucked” situation where in now.

Even if Trump steps aside, we’re still fucked if the Republicans win. Project 2025 isn’t specific to Trump, it’s a template for the next Republican president, whoever that may be. Trump may be the lightning rod for the party, but that doesn’t mean another candidate would be any better.

And that’s what people don’t understand. Every time I warn people of the dictator just waiting to break out of Trump’s fat ass, they say he’s too stupid to do it.

Then I tell them it doesn’t matter… that he’s built a whole team of them waiting to take his place with a solid plan to do it.

If trump steps down there goes every reason to vote Biden and we just handed republicans the white house and likely Senate…

        Does it matter?

        It wouldn’t be trump.

Biden or Trump stepping aside would pretty much guarantee their party wins, because most people are just voting against Biden or trump. Very few people actually want either of them to be president

I see the logic, but honestly, I’m not sure I’m in complete agreement.

I do agree that Trump is maybe the weakest candidate that Republicans could be running. However, they’ve got a cult of personality built around the guy, and I swear to fucking god, people will be writing this fuckers name in until the day they die. Dropping Trump as candidate would shatter the Republican party in a way that just doesn’t happen to the Democrats, principally, because the D’s aren’t engaged in a cult of personality around the guy.

If Biden steps down, whoever gets the nod, they win. If Trump steps down, well the R’s fracture and thats that. Trump could be 6 feet under and his loony bin will still give him 5% of the vote.

That’s not very democratic. How about letting him run, and letting people vote him out?
