A history of incarcerating minorities for possession of a plant that’s legalization has universal, bipartisan support while also experimenting with said plant?

Oh shit you said help, nevermind.

A public servant that gets off on enforcing an unjust disproportionate entrenched system. Executioners are public servants by definition too, should I respect them as well? Prosecutors are mostly goobers.

I can’t help if you believe yourself to be mistreated. The fact is, though, when laws are broken somebody has to represent the people. We are either a nation of laws or not and I hope you don’t take the Trump answer.

what about the women crossing state borders for abortions or some other medical needs that are being deemed illegal in the state they reside? they are not above the law and should be handled accordingly? think you meant it is a nation of laws for the minority not the majority.

I saw the memo. Their proposed plan doesn’t make sense to me.

If Biden resigned as president, Harris would become president, would certainly cinch the nomination as the incumbent, and would enter the election with all the benefits of incumbency.

But they want Biden to stay as president until the end of his current term, and they expect the party to rally around Harris as the nominee. I’m not sure the party would rally around Harris. And why have her enter the election as a non-incumbent?

Honestly, I doubt very much that Harris could gain any advantage from Biden resigning. She’d have less than 5 months to do what Biden has had 3.5 years to do and couldn’t without the advantage of having nominal control of congress.

The only real chance I see is if Biden withdraws his candidacy, and proceeds to continue campaigning for whoever gets the nomination.

If nothing else, she could use those five months to demonstrate that the sky won’t fall in just because a black/Asian woman is president.

The bigots that won’t vote for her because of that, aren’t likely voting democrat anyhow, and even if there are some… they’re not going to be convinced by five months. Especially considering how little normally gets done while everyone is off campaigning.

It would just take more time away from Harris being able to campaign.

Which the biggest problem she faces is not having enough time in front of mics and cameras; she’s done some advocacy things but none of it has made it into the national media cycle.

That’s another benefit or incumbency. If Biden resigns and Harris becomes president, she’ll definitely have some mics and cameras on her.
