Sorry the current trend is clean shaved/trimmed

No one’s telling you to shave your puss. If that’s not your thing, no one cares but you.

I find it funny that sharing any type of take about these “sensitive subjects” is a russian roulette kind of thing these days

posting either this comment or the comic itself in slightly different times of the day and communities could be the difference between praise and roast

Sure. But how do things like this become norms in the first place?

Say what you will about popular culture’s music/fashion/style, but there’s something appealing before it becomes mainstream.

It’s strange that a shaven puss is “normal” now, but pubic hair has not swung back as a niche category. (Trust me I’m an expert in pornography trends, especially as they relate to pubic hair).

Pretty much. Pubes make oral sex less comfortable. Nothing worse than trying to navigate a clit and there’s a hair rolling around on my tongue. I either awkwardly spit it out as discreetly as possible, or pluck it out of my mouth - neither are sexy distractions

If you don’t want to trim, then don’t.

I feel more attractive and confident in my body when my body hair is well groomed. Doesn’t need to be clear cut but also I don’t want whoever’s going down on me to deal with a jungle.

“Nah, your fingernails don’t need a trim. If she can’t handle your adult man’s untrimmed fingernails inside her, she does not deserve to have sex with you.”

Hair that’s long and overgrown can cause problems just like long fingernails can cause problems. Keeping them trimmed so they don’t is just being considerate of your partner.

Cutting your hair isn’t “hygine”. You can still keep it clean and without ever doing it. (I know this is an internet forum and it is almost impossible to come as non-antagonistic so genuine appeals are meaningless, but still I’ll try:) Consider introspecing why it feels a fully formed bush feels ‘icky’ to you.

You really seem bothered by this. It comes across as fiercly opposed the the removal of body hair. And I understand the harm i see you trying to oppose.

But ive read 4 or 5 or your responses now and it seems like you are just being argumentative. Which is missed opportunity given your passion on this

From my observers perspective, it is not doing you any favours to just keep telling people they are wrong. It would go a long way to help your cause(hair removal is not a necessity and shouldnt be a forced custom)

A haircut can be a lot of different things cant it? The comic doesn’t state what the end result will be. But it doesnt use the word shave it says haircut. Which is as much about styling as it is about removing hair. As someone who just got a haircut after 5 months of letting it go its own way, i just wanted it trimmed up and looking like i actually care about it because it was a bit wild and out of control. I didnt shave it off. Just needed to shape it to what I think looks good. I didnt do it for anyone elses benefit other than my own opinion. I did it for me to make me feel pretty. And im a hairy ass dude with a fantastic beard who has way more body hair issues than the average person

The idea is no different than if you reversed the places or situation.

But what i wish you were doing was explaining where you are coming from and why you feel so passionately about this opinion. I feel like you have a good message that is not getting out because you are just hammering away at people responding to you with stating your position instead of sharing your view on this and painting a picture of what it looks like where that position is.

If i could see what you see i might gain a new perspective. But im not new to this conversation and i can very few roads to lead me to it again.

And the problem with that is comment sections are not a public event, and there are likely more people who need to see a bigger picture than to already have an opinion. It takes work. It feels tedious and laborious to always have to teach people things you feel you shouldnt have to, but it is worth it. Its worth it to put the effort in so you can by your thankless effort be a mentor for some young or just innocent person finding out about themselves that body hair isnt something to be ashamed of even if you dont like your own body sometimes.

The effect(affect?) i think you want is one i agree with and support is one of loving thyself. Style is a form of expression. Expression is a form of communication more complex than words alone will ever be.

Because we’re not fucking chimps, so I’d rather not go to bed with one.

Also, yes – it is antihygienic. No matter how long you spend washing a hairy part of your body, it’ll always be cleaner without hair.

The bottom line is that hygiene is subjective. If a person feels that they need to shave because they come off as cleaner, that’s all it takes to consider it hygiene.

It’s no different from shaving your legs or face.

The healthiest way to go about it is to just have a conversation with your partner if its a concern at all. For some, one’s answer could be a deal breaker, and for others it’s not a problem. Communication is key here.

Even if you’re a fan of hair, I’m sure the concept of “you need a haircut” is valid to you too, I don’t usually mind either way but once had a FWB who did zero trimming and it was… Not ideal.

Almost everyone does a bit of hedge trimming even if they keep the bush
