    I’d be interested to know more about this. I don’t doubt for a second that international students are being exploited in the labour market. However, my personal experience of international post-secondary students has been with university students in Toronto and Halifax, and they were generally much wealthier than their average ‘domestic’ counterpart. I wonder how much pressure to seek paid employment among international students varies by student demographics, urban/rural study site, province, college/university, fields of study, undergrad/grad. I think it’d be possible to better characterize the international students most susceptible to labour exploitation

      Some of them are rich but most of them are not. Many of those from India are usually from middle class with educated parents.
