These people are so upset over kids learning other ways of being happy exist.
Seems like they’re just mad because they didn’t get that opportunity.

If you happen to be one of those things then accepting that and living true to yourself is going to make you more happy than denying yourself and living a lie. It’s not, being these things will make you happy. It’s more, not living a repressed lie of a life will probably make you more happy than the alternative.
Sounds like you’re agreeing with me that “other ways to be happy” is not an accurate description of what being gay or trans is.
If the phrase requires a paragraph of explanation to justify it, then maybe we should just use a different phrase.
It’s one guy’s comment on an internet forum, not some universally agreed upon slogan. If you’re suggesting that BlameThePeacock needs to police their own language more, then no I don’t agree with that. I don’t think what they said was a big deal at all.
It’s more about not being the opposite of happy.
Just like gay Pride isn’t about being proud, it’s about not being ashamed.
That’s … not the interpretation I’ve experienced with gay pride lol. “Proud of who I am” is a very common epithet in the community.
I still think it’s a sensationalistic spin.
The financial agent and spokesman for the recall effort told CBC that groups protesting SOGI have been ignored. He said the campaign to oust Singh is a “last resort.”
Oh? So when your recall effort fails you’ll stfu about it? No?
