Hey, please report any transphobia so I can take care of it or an admin if they see it in the queue first. That being said, if you can, also please shoot me a private message on this account with a link to the offending content. Or shoot me a message on Discord (I’m in the Lemmy.world discord channel) with a link to the content.

Notifications don’t happen for reports or anything and I have to jump across two different accounts and check modqueues due to federation being a lil wonky. I don’t always catch them on that second account because I use it less often. So please shoot me a message with any reports <3 Thanks!

On the one hand, I really want this T-shirt. On the other hand, I’m no longer very intimidating so it doesn’t really work. :-(

I’ve been repeatedly described as having “resting murder face”. Ignoring my size, that alone usually gets people to clear out.

I need this shirt so bad

Yeah, that’s me. Unless I’m smiling or laughing my face is just completely emotionless.

Never heard it called “Resting murder face” before but I’m stealing it…

I can’t remember where I heard it but it’s accurate. It also doesn’t help that I don’t blink very often and I just stare off into space while having some ADHD daydreams. I’ve seen people get up and move to the other end of the bus or subway car because I was just zoned out and thinking. They looked genuinely scared and kept looking back down at me.

It’s so bad that if I’m walking around at night or something and the only other person around is a woman I tend to just start playing up the gay mannerisms because otherwise I’ve had people genuinely look shaken. I dunno if you’ve heard the bit from John Mulaney about essentially chasing a woman in the middle of the night with her freaking the hell out but that has more or less happened to me and I’m really trying not to repeat that lol

Oh bless you. I feel bad. I am anxious enough walking around outside in rather empty places, even if it is about as safe as it gets. I don’t have anything constructive to say unfortunately, but I typically look for a vibe in people and try and be on my way instead of assuming the worst. Maybe I am naive. I am really sorry you have to go through that! You can have a hug from this Internet stranger. I truly wish we didn’t have to be so afraid.

I finally found out that your username is a reference to a character on ST:Discovery. If I ever watch the show, I will likely end up thinking of you every time that character is on screen.

I also have “resting murder face,” but I’m told that I’m a nice guy if you ignore the intensity of my “deep in thought” face.

Please do! The show is fairly entertaining and I gotta love my little gay man Stamets. First openly gay main Star Trek character. Meant a huge amount to me. The fact that he’s also a mycologist and loves mushrooms? Man after my own heart.

I want this shirt, and my spinniest of skirts.

I’m even willing to let my beard grow back in. Go full “crazed mountain man” with it.

Hey, I’m a big white guy with a beard, and I think I need this shirt!

I don’t do baseball hats and mirrored shades though. I wouldn’t want to look like a domestic terrorist or something.

“follow my political stances or I’ll hurt you”.

You should checkout Donald Trump. Sounds like y’all would have some stuff in common.

And this should be viewed as a social contract, not as a moral standard. If you break the contract being intolerant you are out of it and other People shouldnt have to tolerate you.

It’s not intolerant to not tolerate intolerance. Tolerating intolerance is the one thing I won’t tolerate.

Yes. They said something foolish. They weren’t actively being bigoted or hateful. If they come back with the same energy after 7 days then it was not a simple error/mistake (and I tend to give people the benefit of the doubt) but will have demonstrated repeated behavior. At that point it would be permanent.

you have tough circumstances, friend. Should i consider what you’re doing with this account a release from that daily burden, like kyles dad from South Park? Though I don’t really approve, i hope it gives you what you need to keep going.

      Good luck

Nope, that’s not the message here.

The message is “I don’t like bullying”

Trump, on the other hand, is a bully

      There’s a difference
