LibreOffice is the top open source choice, and it has been the default choice for Linux users for more than a decade. I’d recommend everyone to have a try
I grew up with word perfect. Shame what happened to that.
FreeOffice is listed here, but their paid product, Softmaker Office is not. They still offer a non-subscription Desktop Office Suite here: https://www.softmaker.com/en/shop/softmaker-office

Sadly, there are too many excellent Canadian options. But thought I would share in case WordPerfect or Open Sourced options would be of interest :)
