    Not sure why it’s left ambiguous in the article. The landlord will need to offer some form of rental abatement. While somewhat broadly covered in the Residential Tenancy Act it’s actually rather well established in the RTB case rulings.

    For example this person lost their central heating from mid March to mid May on a 765 sqft unit with $2100 rent got $1800/$30 per day.
